Turmeric and Diatomaceous Earth for Arthritis

Published on April 5, 2017, in Natural Remedies.

For best results, if available, use freshly grated turmeric. Use only Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth that has a high concentration (minimum 85%) of the mineral Silica.

The Asian spice, Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and supports systemic detoxification in those with arthritis.

Curcumin is a component of turmeric. Circulating free radicals are responsible for much of the inflammation and joint damage that occurs with arthritis, the antioxidants in curcumin helps neutralize free radicals.

Turmeric reduces the severity of joint pain. However, unlike Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, Turmeric does not appear to help joint stiffness or improve joint function.

The Silica in Diatomaceous Earth (DE) helps relieve arthritis pain naturally by reducing inflammation in the joints. Silica also increases the production of collagen to lubricate joints and rejuvenate the elasticity of tissues to restore the natural flexibility in joints.

Add Turmeric and Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth to your daily juicing or smoothie routine, both blend especially well when combined with either carrot, mango, pineapple or papaya recipes.

For every (2) two juicing or smoothie servings, add 1/2 tablespoon of Diatomaceous Earth and 1/2 tablespoon of finely grated fresh turmeric or 1 teaspoon organic tumeric powder. You can use up to 1 tablespoon of the DE and grated turmeric if you would like a more pungent taste and added benefits.
